B.D.M. Girls Post graduate college shikohabad was established on 22nd August 1973. The institute situated at station road Shikohabad is the only women’s aided college in the city, affiliated to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University (formerly Agra University) Agra and run by the Nagar Palika Parishad, Shikohabad. In this backward region of the state, this educational institution has been instrumental in educating the girls and in conducting extra curricular activities like NSS and Rangers scheme. There is adequate arrangement of sports, cultural activities and library.
B.A.First year
(A) Compulsory Subjects – Environmental Studies, RastraGaurav
(B) Optional Subjects – Hindi Language, English Language, Sanskrit Language, Hindi Literature, English Litrature Sanskrit Literature, Music (vocal), Sociology, Economics, Education, Political Science, Psychology, History and Home Science (Any of the above three subjects will have to be taken).
Students will choose the elective subjects as follows. (Maximum of two literature out of the three literature is English literature, Hindi literature, Sanskrit literature)
Out of the practical subjects, a maximum of two practical subjects can be taken.
(Psychology, Home Science, Music Vocal)
B.A.(SecondYear, Third Year)
B.A. First year subjects will have to be taken in the second year and third year.

Post Graduate Course
M.A. – Hindi and Sanskrit are regular subjects in the college. A part from this, Music Vocal , Sociology , English , Economics , Political Science , Psychology and Education are conducted under self – financed scheme at postgraduate level. For admission in these subjects, it is very important to have a related subject as the main subject at the undergraduate level.

Greetings from the Principal of BDMM Girls P.G. College Shikohabad. Our College offers its students unique blend of modern education anchored in hallowed moral values. The exemplary service the college has rendered to the society has received due recognition in the firozabad district. A dedicated team of faculty members and non-teaching staff facilitate the overall development of the students of the college. Along with academic standard the college maintains a vibrant tradition of co-curricular activities. I welcome the new batch of students and invite them to embark on an intellectually invigorating journey with us.
OUR INFRASTRUCTURE
Over the years, the College has built up an impressive infrastructure. It consists of a conference hall, a well-stocked central library, departmental libraries, a book bank for needy students and canteen. The College has a computer Lab, home science lab, psychology lab and a music room with various musical instruments. It has a seminar hall with seating capacity of 120 persons and has a projector. Its sports facilities include a playground, gymnasium, badminton court and volleyball court.
Smart Classes
A smart classroom is a classroom that has an instructor equipped with computer and audio-visual equipment, allowing the instructor to teach using a wide variety of media.
COMPUTER FACILITIES
The college campus is Wi-Fi enabled.Our College has computer centre with a capacity of about 50 users to promote network based knowledge and learning. It facilitates students and faculty to access a world class teaching and learning system.
OUR LIBRARY
The expansive College Library is housed in the center of the campus in an exclusive building designed for the purpose.
The library comprises four sections : the Main Library, individual Departmental Libraries, the Periodicals and the Text Book Sections.
Together, all the sections of our library display a rich collection of more than 20,000 title.
The Library has study spaces with a mix of quite individual and group-study areas. The Library provides a book-bank facility too for lending text books to needy & deserving students for a period of one year at a stretch. Internet facility is now available for students inside the library premises itself. Searching/referencing of titles is now almost totally computerized. Complete computerization of the Library is almost nearing completion.

Game and Sports
The College has facilities for both outdoor and indoor games. The College has a sports ground, badminton court and volleyball court. Sport facilities are made available to all students under the programme. All students are expected to participate. Existing facilities are continuously upgraded and improved.
